MALANG- Ramadhan comes as a moment which usually be waited by students to get free takjil. Every years, many mosques in Malang are providing both takjil and iftar. Often become a coveted mosque, Abdullah Permata Jingga Mosque should be number one in your list to be visited. It is because this mosque never stop serving its fancy food during thirty days of Ramadhan. According to its visitors, the foods there are rated five stars.
Located in Permata Jingga III Street, Tunggulwulung, Lowokwaru District, this mosque is always crowded by visitors. Each day, this mosque provides takjil and main menu to be given to its jamaah which dominated by college students.
The takjil consists of three Kurma, a snack, mineral water, and a cup of tea. Students are free to take as many tea and water as they wish to. The snack is quite varieties starting with dry cake, watery cake, and gorengan.
The main food available are changed everyday. Therefore, this mosque is called as the heaven of free but fancy food during Ramadhan. Despite the big portion, the menu is truly appetizing. They are Soto Banjar, nasi uduk, meat satay, ayam geprek, krawu rice and many more.

After parking their motorbike, students can immediately take and choose the takjil according to what they want. After that, the committee will give a coupon to be exchanged later.
Not only the food menu, the theme of activities at this mosque also varies. While waiting for the call to prayer, it is usually filled with short lectures, studies with friends with disabilities, as well as exposure to public speaking material.
After eating the takjil, the activity continued with the Maghreb prayer in congregation. Then, students can exchange coupons for food distributed by the committee. If students don't want to eat it directly, they are allowed to take the food home.
According to “Bunda” Santi, one of the committee there, this event has been going on for many years. The good news is that this iftar activity will continue in the following year.
"As for the donors themselves, they come from residents in this housing complex, Ms. The committee is also youth, ladies and gentlemen around here," said Mother, calling for a women's committee.
Santi also explained that this mosque is not only limited to distributing food, this mosque has many other activities in the month of Ramadan. For example, reciting the Koran together, I'tikaf which is followed by a meal together, then studying the dawn prayer.
"For the amount of food we provide, it's usually around four hundred to five hundred boxes per day, sis. And it always spreads out, Alhamdulillah,” explained Santi.
Students don't need to worry if they don't get a coupon. Because the Permata Jingga Mosque provides complementary foods such as Pop Mie and father. The goal is for students to enjoy while the committee orders additional food.
The sultan's mosque also strictly implements Islamic rules. One way is to separate the places for women and men. Not limited to a place to eat, the security guard on duty also separated the motorcycle parking area. In addition, security in the mosque is guaranteed.
Safira, one of the visitors who is a student of Polinema, felt very satisfied and full after breaking her fast at this mosque.
"This is my first time here, although I already know about this activity since 2020," said Safira. According to him, the Permata Jingga mosque provides extraordinary food and facilities. Worth mentioning a five star mosque.
